Mission Statement

The mission of the Southern Tier Kidney Association is to provide information and support to the kidney patients of the Southern Tier and surrounding area.

We will accomplish this in collaboration with the WCA staff by providing social opportunities and information sessions for patients and their immediate families, and by making ongoing improvements to the facilities of the dialysis unit.

 

GOALS OF THE SOUTHERN TIER KIDNEY ASSOCIATION

1. Provide assistance, information, and support to Kidney Disease patients and their families.

2. Create an awareness of Kidney Disease, Dialysis and Transplantation for the general public as well as professionals.

3. Support other agencies efforts in promoting Kidney Disease awareness.

4. Promote organ donor and transplant donations by educating the public and professionals through the distribution of organ donor cards. Encourage active participation by local health agencies in the organ retrieval programs.

5. Create an increased awareness of resources and opportunities offered to patients and members on a national level through magazines, correspondence, and published material.
